  Ive had a lot of Peruvian style chicken with that special green sauce..
  This place wasn't all too impressive.
  This was probably the most expensive Peruvian chicken I ever had..
  and I used to get it  a lot in NYC.. Midtown..
  
  I'm not really sure if I'd order from here again.
  It was basically like boston market, not that there's anything wrong with their chicken.. but when I want Peruvian chicken.. I look for bold flavors.. and their green sauce wasn't as impressive as I'd hoped.
  They charge $1 for 4 sauces.. the packets they came in were ridiculously small..
  I def want to try to dine in once... perhaps I'd have a different experience then.

  Not as good as the Elizabeth location but it's a super convenient location. The chicken is always moist and very tasty. My third time this month and asking for the green sauce is always a problem even when offering to pay extra for it. First
  Time they gave me salad dressing, second and third time they said they don't have enough. You only get two small container for one whole chicken which I think is a bit ridiculous.

  Very good restaurant they loaded the amount of food is very rich on flavors different that some Spanish ones. You can order over the phone and pick up the food. They very nice staff. And clean place.

  I've lived in Union for about 8 years now and haven't been to Don Alex until today.  I have waited 7 years and 364 days too long to go to Don Alex.  Their chicken kicks ass, and when you order a half chicken, you're not getting some Nando's or Boston Market size tiny-ass chicken.  It is a half of a whole damn chicken.  It's juicy, there's next to no fat left on it, the skin is wonderful, and it tastes AMAZING.  I don't know what they do to marinate and season but I want to cop it for myself.  
  
  The tostones aren't the twice-fried kind, but that's okay because the garlic sauce they give you on the side is pungent and wonderful.  I will not be making out with anyone tonight, for sure, but it's worth it.  The green sauce is SO GOOD.  I want to buy it by the jar and put it on everything.  
  
  The prices are really good, too - my half chicken, tostones, and salad was like $12 all told.  It's two meals worth of food.
  
  If I ever feel too lazy to cook and just want to get a rotisserie chicken from the market, I'm going to Don Alex instead.

  I wish I could give zero stars! Found this on my food. I ordered their fried fish flounder and it comes with fries, rice and salad. I found this with its head buried in the fish. At first I didn't know what it was so I pushed it back. It's a damn bug! I don't even know what type of bug it is! I honestly feel sick to my stomach. Never going to this place again and maybe the food inspectors need to pay them a visit!
